Our Mission

The adolescent years for girls can be confusing and challenging as they start to discover who they are, decide who they want to be, and learn to stand up for themselves when their values are challenged.

As young girls transform into young women, not only is it more important than ever to empower our girls with life lessons that build the self-confidence needed to go through this stage, but it’s more important than ever to give them the tools and foundation for becoming our future leaders.

The mission of Mariposa Dance is dedicated to helping girls transform and develop self-confidence, teamwork and leadership skills through a dance-based curriculum, where they can discover, experience and express themselves through different styles of dance.

Dance is a freedom of expression.  Be free to express who you are, how you’re feeling, and who you want to be.

Appreciate that anyone can dance, no matter what age or what physical shape you may be in.  Respect that we are here to express our own individuality.

Approach every person with humility and humbleness, as there is something you can learn from everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, physical shape, ethnicity, etc.

As a team, we can build something spectacular, something bigger than what we could have imagined by ourselves.
